Mário Leitão-Teixeira

Mário Leitão-Teixeira began their work experience in 2019, starting with roles as an Application Security Researcher and Pentester at both Eurotux, SA and Dipcode. Mário conducted research on the SAST market and performed vulnerability assessments and grey-box penetration testing for web applications. In 2019, they also worked as an IT Security Operations professional at IThinkUPC, where they focused on penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and risk assessment. Since 2020, Mário has been working at Checkmarx, initially as an Application Security Analyst and currently as an Experienced Application Security Analyst. At Checkmarx, they analyze security issues in open-source projects, researches and discloses new vulnerabilities, and ensures comprehensive AppSec for enterprise clients.

Mário Leitão-Teixeira obtained a Bachelor's degree in Systems Informatics Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications in various fields, including Hacking and Securing Docker Containers, PentesterLab Unix Badge, Blockchain, Ethical Hacking, Python programming, and Linux command line basics. These certifications were obtained from institutions such as Udemy, LinkedIn, TryHackMe, PentesterLab, StackSkills, and FIRST.
