Sandra van Balen

Sandra van Balen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and countries. Prior to this, they held the role of Global Senior Manager Retail at Ingenico ePayments from March 2012 to June 2021, where they managed international payment products across various regions.

Before joining Ingenico, Sandra was the Marketing and Sales Director at Wallie Holding International Payment Services, where they focused on prepaid cards for the online gaming industry and expanded the company's global presence. Earlier in their career, they served as the Area Director Africa at IDA Foundation, a not-for-profit wholesale company in pharmaceuticals, where they distributed medical supplies to underdeveloped countries.

Sandra also has international experience, having worked as the Commercial Director for New Zealand, Australia, and the Middle East at Dongwha International Co. Ltd, a manufacturer in the building and construction industry. Sandra has also worked as a Finance Director Europe at British American Tobacco, managing over 200 brands in various markets.

Sandra van Balen earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Economics with a focus on Marketing and Sales Management from HAS Delft in Delft, The Netherlands. Sandra completed their undergraduate studies from 1992 to 1996. Afterward, in 1997 to 1998, Sandra attended Nyenrode Business University, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Finance, with a general focus.
