Akshay Rawat

Akshay Rawat has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Akshay currently works at Checkr, Inc. as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, a role they started in March 2023. Prior to this, they held the same position at Checkr, Inc. from April 2021 to January 2023. Before joining Checkr, Inc., Akshay worked at Clerky, Inc. for a significant period of time, starting in September 2013 as a Founding Engineer. During their time at Clerky, Inc., they also took on the role of Software Engineer & Engineering Manager and contributed to the growth of the company. Additionally, Akshay has experience at Floh as a Technical Advisor from June 2013 to January 2016, and as the CTO and Co-Founder from May 2011 to June 2013. Akshay also co-founded Activesphere, a boutique consulting firm specializing in JavaScript, Ruby, and Big data, and worked there from May 2010 to April 2012. Akshay began their career at ThoughtWorks as a Senior Consultant and worked there from April 2004 to April 2010.

Akshay Rawat completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from PESIT between 2000 and 2004. Prior to that, they attended St. James Academy in Kolkata from 1998 to 2000, where they completed their Class 12 studies in Sciences. Throughout their education, Akshay Rawat has also obtained additional certifications. In December 2020, they acquired the "Programming with Google Go" certification from Coursera. In October 2020, they completed the "Distributed Systems" certification from the Bradfield School of Computer Science.
