Mary Leising

Mary Leising is an experienced educator specializing in English as a New Language (ENL) and English as a Second Language (ESL), currently serving as an ENL Teacher for the Cheektowaga Sloan School District since September 2017. Prior to this role, Mary worked as a Long Term Substitute ENL Teacher at Sweet Home Middle School and as an ESL Teacher at West Buffalo Charter School. Mary also gained experience in higher education as a Student Teaching Supervisor at SUNY Fredonia and has worked as a language instructor and English trainer in various settings, including self-employment and international positions in France and Japan. Earlier in the career, Mary held scientific roles as a Senior Staff Scientist at DuPont Pharmaceuticals and as a Contract Technical Associate at Unifrax and Praxair. Mary holds a Master’s degree in TESOL from the State University of New York at Fredonia, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University at Buffalo.
