Cheeky Scientist
Jessica Gadsden, Ph.D., is an experienced educator and academic professional dedicated to mentoring students in various educational settings. Currently serving as an Apprentice at Cheeky Scientist since December 2021, Jessica assists PhD graduates in transitioning to industry roles through professional development programs. Previous roles include Academic Instructor at CoreCivic, where collaboration with a multidisciplinary team supported the education of incarcerated students, and Academic Tutor for The 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee, Inc., focusing on talented high school students. Jessica has a strong educational background with degrees from prestigious institutions, including a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cancer Biology from Meharry Medical College, along with extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development across multiple disciplines.
