Elly Omondi

Elly Omondi is a dedicated animal care professional with extensive experience in wildlife conservation and animal health management. Currently serving as an Animal Care Officer at the Cheetah Conservation Fund since July 2022, Elly is actively involved in combating the illegal pet trade in cheetahs. Previous roles include Animal Care Officer at Pets Care Clinic in Qatar, focusing on the health care of dogs and domestic cats, and Game Ranger at Soysambu Conservancy, where rhino surveillance and monitoring were key responsibilities. Elly has also worked as an Animal Keeper with the Mt. Bongo Surveillance crew, and as a Wildlife Management and Conservation Attaché at Amboseli National Park, participating in research and community outreach. Elly's educational background includes an online certificate in Animal Welfare from San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Academy and various certifications in fire safety, first aid, ecosystem restoration, animal welfare, and illicit trade prevention, showcasing a commitment to continuous professional development.
