Basel Azzam

Basel Azzam has extensive work experience in engineering and management roles. Basel is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering, Product Development at Chefman, where they lead and manages the development of products and the engineering team. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon Web Services as a Senior Engineering Management in Cloud Software Development, focusing on the design, development, and operation of networking solutions. Before that, they were the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Crestron Electronics, where they were responsible for driving the technical strategy and project execution of technology and new product development. Basel has also held positions at Fujitsu Network Communications, L3-Communications: LNR Division, Radyne Corp, and Coherent Communications in various engineering and leadership roles.

Basel Azzam attended Stony Brook University from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Basel then pursued further education at New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering from 1985 to 1987, earning a Master of Science degree in Engineering, specializing in Communication Systems. After a gap in education, they studied at Dowling College from 1996 to 1998, obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Finance.
