Kara Courtemanche is an 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher at Chelmsford Public Schools since March 2013, responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and reflecting on lessons for multiple sections, including collaboration with a co-teacher in a co-teaching model. Kara completed a Master of Education in Language & Literacy at Harvard Graduate School of Education, where research focused on adolescent literacy and identity development. Prior experience includes roles as Project Coordinator with WriteBoston, facilitating grantwriting and volunteer initiatives, and as a team leader with Community Teamwork, Inc., organizing community service for urban teenagers. Additional experience encompasses student teaching at Watertown High School and working as a park ranger for the National Park Service. Education credentials include a B.S. in English Literature and Secondary Education from Lesley University and a diploma in Graphic Communications from Greater Lowell Technical High School.
