Soumitra Choudhary

Soumitra Choudhary, PhD has over 20 years of work experience in various technical roles. From 1999 to 2002, they worked as an Engineer-Production at Oswal Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. In 2009, they served as a Research Intern at Abbott Laboratories. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Senior Research Engineer in the Phase Separation research group at Nalco Champion (CDTI), where they led the development of new technologies for the oil and gas industry. Soumitra then transitioned to the role of Technical Specialist-Oil Field Chemicals at Nalco Champion, providing advanced technical solutions to leading oil and gas industries. In 2015, they joined Dorf Ketal as a Technical Specialist/Manager. Currently, they are the Head Technology at Chem-Trend, leading the company's R&D lab in India and directing all R&D and technical support activities.

Soumitra Choudhary, PhD has a strong education background in Chemical Engineering. Soumitra completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Raipur from 1994 to 1998. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Master's Degree in Polymer Technology and Engineering from the University of Mumbai (UDCT/ICT). In order to further enhance their expertise, Soumitra pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completing it from 2005 to 2010.
