Steffen Thiel has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Steffen started their career at Suedzucker as an Office Worker from September 1999 to April 2003. Steffen then joined SAMSON GROUP, where they worked as an HR Business Partner and Head of Talent Acquisition, HR Marketing, and Labor Law from August 2008 to October 2016. Afterwards, they joined LyondellBasell and held various roles such as HR Manager Site, HR Manager Corporate Staff Europe, and HR Manager of Global Business Services from November 2016 to June 2023. Currently, Steffen Thiel is working at Chem-Trend as an HR Director for Europe since June 2023.

Steffen Thiel attended Hochschule Schmalkalden from 2004 to 2008, where they pursued a degree in Diplom Wirtschaftsjurist (FH). During their time at the institution, their studies encompassed various subjects including HR Management, Labor Law, Tax, and Business Administration.
