Jacob Trevino has had a varied and extensive career in the field of nanotechnology. Jacob began in 2002 as a Research Assistant at Case Western Reserve University, then moved to Integrated Sensing Systems as a MEMS Engineer in 2005. In 2007, they became a Sr. Process Engineer at Analog Devices, and in 2009 they began working towards their Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Boston University. In 2013, they became a Research Associate Professor and NanoFabrication Facility Director at the City University of New York. In 2015, they became an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York. In 2018, they became the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Scientist at Chemeleon and the Founder of Nanotech Alliance. In 2020, they became the Nanofabrication Cleanroom and Shared Instruments Facility Director at New York University. Finally, in 2022, they became the Quattrone Nanofabrication Facility Director at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jacob Trevino obtained their B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from Susquehanna University in 2002. Jacob then went on to pursue an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, which they completed in 2005. Finally, they obtained their Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Boston University in 2013.
