Alexander Harkiss

Alexander Harkiss serves as Supervisor and Senior Scientist in Chemistry R&D at Chemify Limited since May 2022, following a significant academic tenure at the University of Glasgow from October 2017 to May 2022, where roles included Postdoctoral Research Associate under Professors Richard Hartley and Graeme Cooke, with a focus on the surface engineering of solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells and the synthesis of spiro-OMe(TAD) derivatives. Prior industry experience includes positions as a Formulation Student at Ferring Controlled Therapeutics and a Trainee Scientist at Systagenix. Alexander Harkiss holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry and an MSci in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, completed between 2013 and 2017 and 2008 and 2013, respectively.
