Melis Acar

Melis Acar has a diverse work experience in the chemical industry. Melis is currently working as a Chemical Product Manager at CheMondis since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at IHS Markit as a Senior Chemical Analyst specializing in PBT&POM from February 2016 to June 2022.

Before joining IHS Markit, Melis Acar served as a Polymers Sales&Distribution Manager at Tricon International, Ltd. from May 2014 to February 2015. Their role involved sales and distribution of commodity polymers PVC, PE, PP, and PS in Northwest Europe. Melis also conducted market research for polymers in Germany and Benelux and developed collaborations between producers and end-users. Before that, they held the position of Trader (Procurement & Sales Manager) at Tricon Plastik and Kimyevi Maddeler, where they focused on developing the procurement and sales department for chemicals consumed in Turkish coatings, paint, and polyester industries.

Prior to their work at Tricon International, Melis Acar was a Product Manager - Oleochemicals at Brenntag from May 2010 to October 2011, and a Sales And Marketing Representative at Santa Farma Pharmaceuticals from November 2008 to May 2010.

Melis Acar's education history begins in 2004 when they attended Uludag University, where they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. In 2007, they enrolled in Technische Universität Wien and continued their studies in Chemistry for a year, earning a degree labeled as "4". Additionally, during the same period, they also completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at Technische Universität Wien.
