Zakia Djaoud

Zakia Djaoud has extensive work experience in academic and scientific research roles. They are currently employed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa and as a Scientist at the CHEO Research Institute, starting in 2022. Prior to these positions, Zakia worked at Stanford University as a Research Scientist from October 2019 to June 2022 and as a Post-doctoral researcher from October 2014 to September 2019. They also have experience as a Post-doctoral researcher and PhD Student at Établissement Français du Sang des Pays de la Loire from December 2010 to June 2014. Additionally, Zakia worked as a Student at INSERM in 2010 and as a Veterinarian at Ministère de l'Agriculture from July 2006 to November 2007.

Zakia Djaoud's education history begins with their enrollment at École Nationale Supérieure Vétérinaire d'Alger in 2001, where they pursued a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Zakia completed their veterinary studies in 2006. Following this, they attended Université Paris Cité from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a Master's degree in Infectiology-Immunology. In 2009, they furthered their education at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) and obtained a Master 2 degree in Immunology. Finally, Zakia Djaoud pursued a Ph.D. in Immunology at Nantes Université from 2010 to 2013.
