Florentina Weiss has a long and varied work experience. Florentina began their career in 2002 as the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Graffiti Magazine, a non-profit independent magazine run exclusively by teenagers. Florentina then moved on to the Flushing YMCA in 2007, where they served as the Teen & Out-of-School Time Program Coordinator. In 2010, they were a Student-Teacher at Queens School of Inquiry, and then a Consultant at Program Development. In 2011, they worked as a Literature Teacher at the NYC Department of Education. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at the YMCA of Greater New York, first as Teen & Sports Director and then as Teen Program Director. In 2021, they were the Site Director at All My Children Daycare & Nursery School. Finally, in 2022 they began their current role as Operations Manager at Cherry, where they oversee the day-to-day client and vendor experience and manages all new incoming accounts.

Florentina Weiss obtained their High School Diploma from the School for the Physical City in 2004. Florentina then pursued a BA in English and Secondary Education from CUNY Queens College, which they completed in 2010. In 2009, they obtained a Certified Entrepreneurship Teacher certification from Networking for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). In 2010, they obtained a NYS Certification in English and Secondary Education from the Department of Education.
