Larry Pfeiffer

Larry Pfeiffer has had a long and distinguished career in the intelligence and security fields. Larry began their career in 2004 as Executive Assistant to the Acting Director of Central Intelligence for the Office of the Director of Central Intelligence. In 2005, they served as Senior Executive Assistant to the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. From 2006 to 2011, they served in various roles at the Central Intelligence Agency, including Director's Chief for Policy and Coordination and Chief of Staff to the Director. From 2011 to 2015, they served as Senior Director at the White House Situation Room. In 2015, they joined The Chertoff Group as Managing Director, and in 2017 they became Senior Advisor. In 2017, they also took on roles as Board Member for Valiant Integrated Services and Public Speaker for Leading Authorities, Inc. Speakers Bureau. In 2018, they were appointed Board Member Emeritus for ZP Group. Presently, they serve as Director of the Michael V. Hayden Center for Intelligence, Policy, and International Security at George Mason University's Schar School for Policy and Government.

Larry Pfeiffer obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from James Madison University between 1979 and 1983. Larry then went on to earn a Master of Arts (M.A.) in National Security Studies from Georgetown University between 1992 and 1994.
