Lee Epstein

Lee Epstein has had a diverse and extensive work experience in environmental law and policy. Lee started their career as a Project Director for Environmental Programs at the National Association of Counties in 1979. Lee then worked as an Environmental Planner and Chief of the Policy Development Branch at the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning from 1981 to 1984. Lee Epstein then joined the Maryland Department of Natural Resources as an Assistant Attorney General and stayed there until 1990. Afterward, they became a Partner and the Director of Environmental Practice at Linowes and Blocher LLP until 1992. Since 1992, they have been working as the Lands Program Director and Special Counsel at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Lee Epstein has a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from The George Washington University Law School, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) degree in Urban Planning from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Art History from Dickinson College.
