Lina Kennedy

Lina Kennedy has extensive experience in risk management, having held positions at various organizations, including Chesapeake Public Schools as Risk Manager since July 2020. Previous roles include Safety Administrator at Southeastern Public Service Authority, Assistant Director of Risk Management at Virginia Tech, and Risk Manager for both James City County and the City of Suffolk Virginia, where responsibilities encompassed budget management, claims processing, and safety training. Lina's career began as a bilingual insurance agent at Nationwide Insurance, and also includes experience as a Realtor and Choral-Drama Teacher. Lina holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Christopher Newport University.
