Donna Runyan has extensive work experience in human resources. Donna is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare since 2022. Previously, they served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Centra Health from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Sentara Healthcare from 2013 to 2021, including Vice President of HR Business Operations and Regional Director of Human Resources. Before Sentara Healthcare, they worked as the VP of Human Resources at Portfolio Recovery Associates from 2008 to 2013 and as the Director of Human Resources at Manpower from 1995 to 2008. Their early career includes managerial positions at Argonaut Insurance and SuperStructures.

Donna Runyan earned a Master of Health Administration degree from Colorado State University Global from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed a Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership in 2012. In 2009, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
