Tom Gates has extensive experience in Healthcare IT, currently serving as the Manager of Technology and Innovation at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare since July 2013. In this role, Tom leads construction and design projects while supervising the IT Engineering and Telecommunication teams. Prior to this, Tom held various positions, including Enterprise Solutions Engineer with over 14 years of experience providing backend support for healthcare applications and Systems Administrator at Albemarle Health, where Tom supported hospital applications and network infrastructure. Earlier career roles included Systems Analyst at SoundSide Group and Network Engineer at Global Data Consultants, along with positions at Patriot Federal Credit Union and Computer Works. Tom holds an Associate of Science degree from the College of the Albemarle and furthered education at East Carolina University.
