Edward Matthews

Edward Matthews is a seasoned internal audit professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades across various industries. Currently serving as Manager of Internal Audit at Chesapeake Utilities Corporation since 2017, Edward is responsible for managing the annual audit plan, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing operational and compliance audits. Previously, Edward held significant roles at Exelon, where responsibilities included overseeing the audit plan for the Nuclear and Power fleet, as well as managing Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for various divisions. Edward's career also includes leadership positions at Bank of America, MBNA, Bank One Corporation, CoreStates Financial Corporation, and IMO Industries Inc., demonstrating a strong expertise in financial audits, operational reviews, and compliance oversight. Edward earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lehigh University and an MBA in Finance from Fox School of Business at Temple University.
