Beryl Gilmore

Beryl Gilmore is an accomplished Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officer currently serving at Cheshire Ireland since September 2022. With extensive experience in communication, project management, and strategic planning within nonprofit organizations, Beryl has a strong knowledge of data protection law, policies, and procedures, especially in the charitable sector. Previously, Beryl worked at WEEE Ireland as a Senior Membership Executive and DPO, leading major projects that secured over €300K in funding for Circular Economy initiatives and achieving QQI accreditation. Beryl also coordinated programs and implemented GDPR regulations at Loughlinstown Community Rooms and managed the Park Community Centre while serving as Data Protection Officer. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Degree in Leadership and Non-Profit Management from the National College of Ireland, a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Dublin City University, and a Higher Certificate in Community from University College Dublin. Beryl is a member of the Association of Data Protection Officers.
