Chris Smerdon has extensive experience in the financial industry with a focus on collections and recoveries, fraud, and operations analytics. Chris has held various roles throughout their career, including Director of Collections & Recoveries, Fraud and Operations Analytics at Chetwood Financial Limited, Unsecured Credit Risk Director for Collections and Recoveries at Barclays, and Head of Collections & Recoveries at MBNA. Chris has demonstrated expertise in policy and strategy development, workforce management, capacity planning, process improvement, and portfolio analytics. Chris has successfully launched a new credit card, implemented quality assessment of fair customer outcomes, and improved collections rates and roll rates through strategic changes and incentive modifications.

Chris Smerdon attended the University of Leicester from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Subsequently, from 2005 to 2006, they pursued a Master's Degree in Financial Mathematics and Computation at the same institution.
