A. Nigel Hearne

A. Nigel Hearne, 55, is executive vice president of Oil, Products & Gas for Chevron Corporation, a position he assumed in October 2022. In this role, he is responsible for the entire value chain, ensuring a more integrated approach to capital allocation, asset class excellence and value chain optimization.

Prior to this role, Hearne served as president of Chevron Eurasia-Pacific Exploration and Production Company, where he was responsible for overseeing Chevron’s upstream activities in Eurasia, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. Hearne also served as president of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production from 2018 to 2020, and as managing director of Chevron Australia heading the Australasia business unit from 2016 to 2018.

Hearne joined legacy Texaco in 1989 as a power engineer at the Pembroke Refinery in the United Kingdom where he progressed through refinery positions of increasing responsibility. He has held positions at the El Segundo and Richmond refineries in California and in Chevron’s Downstream Strategy, Technology and Commercial Integration business unit before serving as Vice President of Chevron’s Appalachia/Michigan business unit.

He serves as Chairman of the Asia Natural Gas and Energy Association (ANGEA), launched in 2021, to work constructively with governments, society and industry to build effective and integrated policies that enable nations in the region to achieve their economic, energy security and environmental objectives.

Hearne received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Sussex in 1989 and a master’s in engineering management from the University of Glamorgan in 1998.
