Eimear Bonner

Eimear was appointed Vice President on August 2, 2021. She adds this leadership responsibility to her existing roles, President Chevron Technical Center and Chief Technology Officer for Chevron Corporation, which she has held since February 1, 2021.

She served as General Director of Chevron’s largest joint venture, Tengizchevroil (TCO), in Kazakhstan from 2018 and, prior to that, as TCO General Manager of Operations.

Eimear began her career as an offshore petroleum engineer in the United Kingdom. Over her 22-year career with Chevron, she has held numerous leadership and engineering positions in the United Kingdom, Thailand, Kazakhstan and the United States.

As General Director, Eimear led the TCO organization and was responsible for ensuring strong business performance, advancing TCO’s major expansion project FGP/WPMP, managing relationships with stakeholders in the Kazakhstan government, partner companies and the communities, and leading TCO’s organization transformation.

Eimear’s previous leadership roles include Deputy Managing Director of Chevron’s Eurasia Business Unit, based in Almaty, where she managed Chevron’s non-operated interests in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan; Asset Manager in Chevron Thailand, where she was responsible for asset development, operations, and technical support for multiple offshore assets; and General Manager Strategy at Chevron’s Headquarters.

Eimear received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, and her Master’s degrees in Advanced Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London.
