Iwan Harmawan

Iwan Harmawan is an accomplished reservoir engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Reservoir Engineer at Chevron since October 2025, Iwan previously held positions at Hess Corporation as a Senior Reservoir Engineer Advisor from August 2022 to October 2025 and at Oxy from May 2017 to August 2022. Iwan's expertise includes optimizing production through advanced techniques such as well surveillance and reservoir modeling, and implementing integrated models leveraging AI technology. Prior to these roles, Iwan contributed significantly to projects at Hess Corporation in various capacities, including West Africa Development and Bakken field development. Early career experience includes positions at Murphy Oil Corporation, ConocoPhillips, Unocal Corp, and Repsol, highlighting a robust background in production optimization and engineering within diverse offshore assets. Iwan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung, obtained in 1999.
