Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Field Development and Portfolio Solution Manager at Chevron since June 1998. Matthew's extensive career includes various leadership roles such as Australia Business Unit Applied Reservoir Management Manager, Exploration Digital Advisor, and Latin America Exploration Manager. Johnson has a strong background in geological evaluations across the Gulf of Mexico and international regions, having coordinated large-scale projects and led teams focused on Cretaceous through Pliocene reservoirs. Prior to Chevron, Johnson worked as a Senior Exploration Geologist at Mobil Oil and held geological positions at Ampolex and Western Mining Corporation Limited. Johnson holds a Master of Science in Geology from Curtin University, earned between 1987 and 1993.
