Jeff Gustavson, 49, is vice president of Low Carbon Energy, a position he assumed in August 2021. He is responsible for leading a new, dedicated organization focused on lower carbon business prospects that have the potential to scale. Chevron New Energies’ initial focus will include commercialization opportunities in hydrogen, carbon capture, and offsets and support of ongoing growth in biofuels.

Prior to this role, Jeff served as the vice president of Chevron’s North America Exploration and Production Company overseeing its Mid-Continent Business Unit, which manages a large resource base of oil and liquids-rich assets in the mid-continent United States, including Chevron’s significant Permian assets in Texas and New Mexico. Jeff has also served as president of Chevron Canada Limited, where he was responsible for the company’s upstream interests in Canada.

Jeff joined Chevron in 1999 and has held positions in Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Strategic Planning, Supply and Trading, Investor Relations and Upstream, with numerous assignments in the United States, as well as Venezuela, the United Kingdom and Canada.

A. Nigel Hearne, 55, is executive vice president of Oil, Products & Gas for Chevron Corporation, a position he assumed in October 2022. In this role, he is responsible for the entire value chain, ensuring a more integrated approach to capital allocation, asset class excellence and value chain optimization.

Prior to this role, Hearne served as president of Chevron Eurasia-Pacific Exploration and Production Company, where he was responsible for overseeing Chevron’s upstream activities in Eurasia, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. Hearne also served as president of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production from 2018 to 2020, and as managing director of Chevron Australia heading the Australasia business unit from 2016 to 2018.

Hearne joined legacy Texaco in 1989 as a power engineer at the Pembroke Refinery in the United Kingdom where he progressed through refinery positions of increasing responsibility. He has held positions at the El Segundo and Richmond refineries in California and in Chevron’s Downstream Strategy, Technology and Commercial Integration business unit before serving as Vice President of Chevron’s Appalachia/Michigan business unit.

He serves as Chairman of the Asia Natural Gas and Energy Association (ANGEA), launched in 2021, to work constructively with governments, society and industry to build effective and integrated policies that enable nations in the region to achieve their economic, energy security and environmental objectives.

Hearne received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Sussex in 1989 and a master’s in engineering management from the University of Glamorgan in 1998.

A. Nigel Hearne

Balaji Krishnamurthy, 45, is corporate vice president of Strategy & Sustainability for Chevron Corporation, a role he assumed in October 2022. In this role, Krishnamurthy is responsible for guiding development of the company’s key strategies, including capital allocation and sustainability efforts.

Most recently, Krishnamurthy served as president of Chevron Canada Limited, where he oversaw the company’s upstream interests in Canada. Prior to that, Krishnamurthy was the general manager of the Corporate Transformation and Integration Management Office. In that capacity, he oversaw the enterprise transformation effort and led the Noble Energy integration.

Krishnamurthy joined Chevron Technology Ventures in 2002 as an experienced hire and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in project management, decision analysis, asset development, asset operations, corporate strategy, and business unit leadership. The majority of his career has been in Upstream international business units supporting operations in Angola, Canada, Kazakhstan and Thailand, and corporate headquarters in San Ramon, CA.

Krishnamurthy earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and electrochemical engineering from the Central Electrochemical Research Institute in India, a master’s degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Balaji Krishnamurthy

C.N. (Sandy) Macfarlane, 64, is vice president and general tax counsel for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, a position he has held since 2010. He is responsible for directing [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s worldwide tax activities.

Previously Macfarlane served as assistant general tax counsel from 1999 to 2010 and was responsible for worldwide tax planning and tax legal matters.

Macfarlane has held a number of positions within the Tax Department, including coordinator of tax audits and litigation, managing tax attorney, manager of tax compliance and assistant general tax counsel.

Macfarlane joined Gulf Oil Corporation in 1980. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from [Brown University](/org/brown-university) in 1976, a law degree from [Boston College](/org/boston-college) in 1979 and a master’s degree in tax law from [Boston University](/org/boston-university) in 1985.

Paul R. Antebi, 49, is vice president and general tax counsel for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, a position he assumed in 2021.  He is responsible for directing [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s worldwide tax activities across the corporation.

Antebi has held several positions within the Tax Department, including tax advisory roles in Thailand and Singapore, managing tax counsel, manager of tax audits, manager of tax compliance and deputy general tax counsel.

Antebi serves on the American Petroleum Institute’s Tax Committee.  He previously served as the Chairman of the Tax & Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok, and as a member of the Museum Council for the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.

Antebi joined Unocal in 1998 as a Tax Attorney. He earned his B.B.A. from the [College of William and Mary](/org/college-of-william-and-mary) in 1994 and his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1997 and is a certified public accountant.

Marissa Badenhorst is the VP of Health, Safety, and Environment at [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation). Marissa has been with the company since July 2012 and has held various positions including Refinery Business Unit Manager and Maintenance and Reliability Manager. In their current role, they are responsible for leading [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)'s health, safety, and environmental programs.

Ms. Hewson has been strategic advisor to the CEO of [Lockheed Martin](/org/lockheed-martin) Corporation (“Lockheed Martin”), a security and aerospace company principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products, and services since March 2021. She served as Executive Chairman from June 2020 to March 2021, and as [Lockheed Martin](/org/lockheed-martin)’s Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2014 until June 2020 and held the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer from January 2013 to December 2013. Ms. Hewson joined [Lockheed Martin](/org/lockheed-martin) in 1983 as an industrial engineer and has held leadership positions across [Lockheed Martin](/org/lockheed-martin), including President and Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of [Lockheed Martin](/org/lockheed-martin)’s Electronic Systems business area.

Colin E. Parfitt, 55, is vice president of Midstream, a position he has held since March 2019. He is responsible for the company’s shipping, pipeline, power and energy management and supply and trading operating units.

Previously Parfitt was president of Supply and Trading where he was responsible for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s global trading activities for crude oil, feedstocks, refined products, natural gas and gas liquids to support the company’s crude and gas production operations and refining and marketing network.

Prior to that role Parfitt was vice president, Sales & Marketing, for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Oronite Company LLC. He has also served as vice president of Americas Products, vice president of Finished Lubricants and president of Fuel and Marine Marketing.

Parfitt joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) in 1995 as manager, Crude Oil Trading, with [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) International Oil Company based in London. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the [University of Exeter](/org/university-of-exeter) in England and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College in England.

Colin Parfitt

Mr. Frank has been Vice Chairman since 2014, and Director since 2007, of Oaktree Capital Group, LLC, a leader among global investment managers specializing in alternative investments. He was Oaktree's Managing Principal from 2005 until 2014, having joined Oaktree in 2001 as General Counsel. Prior to that, he served as a Partner of the Los Angeles law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP.

John B. Frank

Mr. Moorman served as the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Amtrak, a passenger rail service provider, from July 2017 until his retirement in December 2017, having served as President and Chief Executive Officer from September 2016 until July 2017. He was previously Chairman from 2006, and Chief Executive Officer from 2004, of [Norfolk Southern Corporation](/org/norfolk-southern-railway), a freight and transportation company, until his retirement in 2015. He served as President of Norfolk Southern from 2004 until 2013. Prior to that, Mr. Moorman was Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning and Services from 2003 until 2004 and Senior Vice President of Corporate Services in 2003. Mr. Moorman joined Norfolk Southern in 1975.

R. Hewitt Pate, 57, is vice president and general counsel for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, a position he has held since 2009. As [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)'s chief legal officer, Pate directs the company’s worldwide legal affairs and serves on the company’s Executive Committee.

Pate, a long-time partner at Hunton & Williams in Washington, D.C., headed the firm's Global Competition practice prior to joining [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation). From 2003 to 2005, Pate served as the assistant attorney general for the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He was a deputy assistant attorney general in the Antitrust Division, responsible for energy, transportation and other regulatory matters, from 2001 to 2003. In 1999, Pate served as Ewald Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law at the [University of Virginia](/org/university-of-virginia).

Earlier in his career, Pate was a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, for retired Supreme Court Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr. and for Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III.

He is a member of the Washington, D.C., and Virginia bars, the American Law Institute, and the [Council on Foreign Relations](/org/council-on-foreign-relations).

Pate joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) in 2009 in the position he currently holds. He earned a bachelor's degree in history and English from the [University of North Carolina](/org/university-of-north-carolina) in 1984 and a Juris Doctor degree from the [University of Virginia](/org/university-of-virginia) in 1987. 

R. Hewitt Pate

Rhonda J. Morris, 53, is vice president and chief human resources officer for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation and has led the company’s human resources, health & medical and diversity & inclusion groups since 2016. She also serves on the company’s Executive Committee.

Prior to 2016, Morris held a number of roles of increasing responsibility in human resources, global marketing and international products.

In 2014, Morris received the Industry Leader Award from the Professional Businesswomen in California recognizing her work to advance gender equality in the workplace. Morris serves on the boards of Techbridge and the [East Bay Agency for Children](/org/east-bay-agency-for-children).

She previously served on the boards of A Better Chance, a national organization dedicated to opening the door to educational opportunities for thousands of young people of color in the United States, the Math Engineering and Science Association at the University of California at Berkeley and the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management.

Morris joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s Human Resources Development Program in 1991. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis, in 1987 and a master's degree in business administration from [Boston University](/org/boston-university) in 1991.

Rhonda J. Morris

Mary A. Francis, 55, is corporate secretary and chief governance officer for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, a position she has held since 2015. She provides advice and counsel to the Board of Directors and senior management on corporate governance matters, manages the company’s corporate governance function and serves on the Law Function Executive Committee. She also serves as secretary to the Board, the Executive Committee, and the Board Nominating and Governance Committee.

Previously Francis served as [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s deputy corporate secretary since 2014. Prior positions include: 2012, chief corporate counsel, Corporation Law Department; 2009, general counsel, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Asia Pacific Exploration and Production Company; 2007, managing counsel, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Pipe Line Company and [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Shipping Company; 2005, lead senior counsel, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Shipping Company.

Francis is chair of the board of directors of the [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Employees Political Action Committee. She is a co-chair of the board of directors of the Council of Institutional Investors. She also serves on the governing board of the [San Francisco Symphony](/org/san-francisco-symphony); on the board of directors of the American Heart Association, Greater Bay Area; on the board of trustees of the William and Mary Law School Foundation; and on the advisory board of the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance.

Francis joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) in 2002 as senior trademark counsel in the Corporation Law Department. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from [Mount Holyoke College](/org/mount-holyoke-college) in 1986, a Juris Doctor degree from the College of William & Mary in 1990, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2006.

Mary A. Francis

Mark A. Nelson, 56, is executive vice president of Downstream & Chemicals, a position he has held since March 2019. He is responsible for directing the company’s worldwide manufacturing, marketing, lubricants, chemicals and Oronite additives businesses. He also oversees [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s joint-venture [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Phillips Chemical Company.

Previously Nelson was vice president, Midstream, Strategy & Policy, where he was responsible for the company’s shipping, pipeline, power and energy management and supply and trading operating units. He was also overseeing corporate strategic planning and policy, government and public affairs.

Prior to this position, Nelson served as vice president of Strategic Planning for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation). Other positions include president of International Products, where he was responsible for the refining and marketing businesses in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia; president of [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Canada Limited, where he managed oil and gas exploration, production and marketing of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids in Canada.

With more than 30 years of experience, Nelson has served in a number of leadership positions with increasing responsibilities within the company in retail, marketing, operations and business planning.

Nelson has previously served on several advisory boards and councils, including Singapore’s Economic Development Board and the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.

Nelson joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) U.S.A. Inc. in 1985 as an engineer based in San Ramon, California. A native of Ventura, California, Nelson graduated from California Polytechnic State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

James W. (Jay) Johnson, 60, is executive vice president, Upstream, a position he has held since 2015. He is responsible for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s global exploration and production activities for crude oil and natural gas.

Previously Johnson was senior vice president of Upstream.

From 2011 to 2014, Johnson served as president of [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Europe, Eurasia and Middle East Exploration and Production Company.

From 2008 to 2011, he was managing director of the Eurasia business unit, responsible for exploration and production activities in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey. From 2003 to 2008, Johnson was managing director of [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)'s Australasia business unit, responsible for activities including production at Barrow and Thevenard Islands and the exploration and development of the Wheatstone and Greater Gorgon area gas fields. Past positions include work in production operations, major capital projects, planning and the [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Shipping Company.

Johnson joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) in 1981 as a design and construction engineer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois in 1981 and a master’s degree in business administration from Louisiana State University in 1987.

James W. Johnson

Michael K. (Mike) Wirth, 59, is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation.  He was elected to these positions by [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s board of directors in September 2017 and assumed the roles on February 1, 2018.

Prior to his current role, Wirth served as vice chairman of the board in 2017 and executive vice president of Midstream & Development for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation from 2016 – 2018. In that role, he was responsible for supply and trading, shipping, pipeline and power operating units, as well as corporate strategy; business development; and policy, government and public affairs.

Wirth was executive vice president of Downstream & Chemicals from 2006 to 2015. Prior to that, he served as president of Global Supply and Trading from 2003 to 2006.

In 2001, Wirth was named president of Marketing for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s Asia/Middle East/Africa business, based in Singapore. He also served on the board of directors for Caltex Australia Limited and GS Caltex Corporation in South Korea.

Wirth serves on the board of directors of Catalyst, the board of directors and executive committee of the American Petroleum Institute, and the executive committee of the International Business Council of the [World Economic Forum](/org/world-economic-forum). He is also a member of The Business Council, the National Petroleum Council, the Business Roundtable and the American Society of Corporate Executives.

Wirth joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) in 1982 as a design engineer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado in 1982.

Michael K. Wirth

Eimear was appointed Vice President on August 2, 2021. She adds this leadership responsibility to her existing roles, President Chevron Technical Center and Chief Technology Officer for Chevron Corporation, which she has held since February 1, 2021.

She served as General Director of Chevron’s largest joint venture, Tengizchevroil (TCO), in Kazakhstan from 2018 and, prior to that, as TCO General Manager of Operations.

Eimear began her career as an offshore petroleum engineer in the United Kingdom. Over her 22-year career with Chevron, she has held numerous leadership and engineering positions in the United Kingdom, Thailand, Kazakhstan and the United States.

As General Director, Eimear led the TCO organization and was responsible for ensuring strong business performance, advancing TCO’s major expansion project FGP/WPMP, managing relationships with stakeholders in the Kazakhstan government, partner companies and the communities, and leading TCO’s organization transformation.

Eimear’s previous leadership roles include Deputy Managing Director of Chevron’s Eurasia Business Unit, based in Almaty, where she managed Chevron’s non-operated interests in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan; Asset Manager in Chevron Thailand, where she was responsible for asset development, operations, and technical support for multiple offshore assets; and General Manager Strategy at Chevron’s Headquarters.

Eimear received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, and her Master’s degrees in Advanced Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London.

Prior to his appointment as Vice President of the Mid-Continent Business Unit, Booth was vice president of Capital Projects. Booth is now responsible for a large resource base of oil and liquids-rich assets in the mid-continent United States, including Chevron’s significant Permian assets in Texas and New Mexico. 

Ryder Booth

Pierre R. Breber, 55, is vice president and chief financial officer of [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation), a position he assumed in April 2019. He is responsible for comptroller, tax, treasury, audit and investor relations activities worldwide.

Previously Breber served as executive vice president of Downstream and Chemicals since 2016. In this role, he was responsible for directing the company’s worldwide manufacturing, marketing, lubricants, chemicals and Oronite additives businesses. He also oversaw [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s joint-venture [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Phillips Chemical Company.

Breber was executive vice president of Gas and Midstream where he was responsible for commercializing [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s natural gas resources and the company’s shipping, pipeline, power and energy management, and supply and trading operations. With more than 25 years of service, Breber has served in a number of leadership positions with increasing responsibilities including managing director, Asia South Business Unit; [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) vice president and treasurer; vice president, Finance, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Downstream; and manager, Finance and Business Services, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Upstream Europe Business Unit.

Breber serves as a board member of the United Way Bay Area.

Breber joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) in 1989 as a financial analyst. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1986 and 1987, respectively, and a master’s degree in business administration from [Cornell University](/org/cornell-university) in 1989.

Pierre R. Breber

Navin K. Mahajan, 53, is vice president and treasurer for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, a position he assumed in February 2019. He is responsible for banking, financing, cash management, insurance, pension investments, and credits and receivables activities across the corporation.

Previously Mahajan was vice president of finance for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Downstream & Chemicals where he was responsible for overseeing the global finance activities across all areas of the organization.

Prior positions include: 2013, assistant treasurer, OpCo Financing for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, where he was responsible for advising [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s operating companies and affiliates on internal and external financing, financial risk management and general treasury support; 2010, chief compliance officer for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation where he had operational responsibility for implementing the company’s global compliance program; 1996 through 2010, various positions including regional finance officer for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Downstream Latin America (Coral Gables), regional vice president finance for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s Upstream IndoAsia Business Unit (Jakarta), CFO of Unocal’s Midstream & Trade business (Houston).

Before joining Unocal, Mahajan was investment officer, Oil and Gas Division of the [International Finance Corporation](/org/international-finance-corporation), the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group in Washington, DC.

Mahajan serves on the board of GSCaltex Corporation.

Mahajan joined Unocal in 1996 as director of project and structured finance. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the [University of Delhi](/org/university-of-delhi), a master’s degree in business administration from the [University of Rochester](/org/university-of-rochester), and completed [Harvard Business School](/org/harvard-business-school)'s Program for Management Development. 

Navin K. Mahajan

David A. (Dave) Inchausti, 55, is vice president and comptroller for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, a position he assumed in June 2019. He is responsible for corporatewide accounting, financial reporting and analysis, internal controls, and accounting policy.

Inchausti previously served as deputy comptroller since 2018, and comptroller for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s Upstream organization since 2015.

Inchausti has held positions of increasing responsibility within the finance function. Prior positions include vice president finance in [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s IndoAsia Business Unit (IBU), based in Jakarta, Indonesia, which encompasses [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s upstream oil, gas and geothermal activities in Indonesia and the Philippines; leadership and analytical positions in Treasury and financial reporting, as well as general finance management positions in onshore, offshore and start-up operations in Kazakhstan, Thailand, Venezuela and Angola, over a 20-year-period outside the U.S.A.

Inchausti joined [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) in 1988 as an analyst in [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) U.S.A. Supply & Distribution in Concord, California. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1985.

David A. Inchausti

Albert (Al) J. Williams, 52, is vice president of Corporate Affairs for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Corporation, a position he assumed in March 2021. He is responsible for overseeing government affairs, public affairs, social investment and performance, and the company’s worldwide efforts to protect and enhance its reputation.

Previously, Williams served as managing director of [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Australia with responsibility for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)'s interests and activities in Australia and New Zealand since 2019. Williams had oversight of [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s exploration, appraisal and development activities and the operations of the Gorgon and Wheatstone natural gas facilities as well as government, partner, and community relations.

Williams was vice president, San Joaquin Valley Business Unit for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) North America Exploration and Production Company (CNAEP) where he was responsible for [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation)’s oil and gas production operations in California.

With more than 30 years of service, Williams has served in several leadership positions with increasing responsibilities including president, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Pipe Line Company; vice president, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Indonesia Heavy Oil Operations; asset manager, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Thailand and general manager finance, [Chevron](/org/chevron-corporation) Africa and Latin America Exploration and Production Company.

Albert Williams

Governor Huntsman is an American businessman, diplomat, and politician who served as U.S. Ambassador to Russia from 2017 to 2019. He served as Chairman of the Atlantic Council, a nonprofit that promotes leadership and engagement in international affairs from 2014 until 2017. He has served in the administrations of five Presidents and was a candidate for the Republican nomination for president of the United States in 2011. He was Chairman of the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization that financially supports research, education and patient care initiatives at [Huntsman Cancer Institute](/org/huntsman-cancer-institute) at the University of Utah from 2012 until 2017. Governor Huntsman served as U.S. Ambassador to China from 2009 until 2011 and two consecutive terms as Governor of Utah from 2005 until 2009. Prior to his service as Governor, he served as U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, Deputy U.S. Trade Representative, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Asia.

Dr. Gast has been President of [Imperial College London](/org/imperial-college-london), a public research university specializing in science, engineering, medicine, and business, since 2014. She was President of [Lehigh University](/org/lehigh-university), a private research university, from 2006 until 2014 and Vice President for Research, Associate Provost, and Robert T. He was Group President from 2013 until 2016, with responsibility for [Caterpillar](/org/caterpillar-inc)’s energy and transportation business segment, and Vice President from 2010 to 2013. He joined [Solar Turbines](/org/solar-turbines) Incorporated in 1980 as an associate engineer. [Solar Turbines](/org/solar-turbines) became a wholly owned [Caterpillar](/org/caterpillar-inc) subsidiary in 1981.

D. James Umpleby III

Dr. Moyo has been Chief Executive Officer of Mildstorm LLC, a financial and economics firm, a financial and economics firm, since she founded it in 2015. She is a global economist and commentator analyzing the macroeconomy and international affairs. Since 2008, Dr. Moyo has been engaged in researching, speaking, and writing about international macroeconomics. From 2001 to 2008, she worked at [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs), a multinational investment bank and financial services company, in various roles, including as an economist. Prior to that she worked at the [World Bank](/org/world-bank-group), an international financial institution in Washington, D.C., from 1993 until 1995.

Dambisa F. Moyo

Mr. Hernandez has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc., a global provider of security and facility support services to governments, utilities, and industrial customers, since 1986. He was President of Inter-Con from 1986 until 2018, and was previously Executive Vice President and Assistant General Counsel from 1984 until 1986. He was an associate of the law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison from 1980 until 1984.

Reed-Klages, age 63, retired in December 2018 as executive chairman of [Sempra Energy](/org/sempra-energy).  She served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of [Sempra Energy](/org/sempra-energy) from March 2017 to May 2018, chairman and chief executive officer of [Sempra Energy](/org/sempra-energy) from December 2012 to March 2017 and chief executive officer of [Sempra Energy](/org/sempra-energy) from June 2011 to December 2012.  Previously, Ms. Reed-Klages served as an executive vice president of [Sempra Energy](/org/sempra-energy) and as president and chief executive officer of SDG&E and SoCalGas, [Sempra Energy](/org/sempra-energy)'s regulated California utilities. She joined SoCalGas in 1978.

Dr. Sugar is a senior advisor to various businesses and organizations, including Ares Management LLC, a leading private investment firm; [Bain & Company](/org/bain), a global consulting firm; Temasek Americas Advisory Panel, a private investment company based in Singapore; and the G100 Network and the World 50, peer-to-peer exchanges for current and former senior executives and directors from some of the world’s largest companies. He is also an advisor to [Northrop Grumman](/org/northrop-grumman) Corporation, a global security and defense company, and was previously Northrop’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2003, until his retirement in 2010, and President and Chief Operating Officer, from 2001 until 2003. He joined [Northrop Grumman](/org/northrop-grumman) in 2001, having previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Litton Industries, Inc., a developer of military products, and earlier as an executive of TRW Inc., a developer of missile systems and spacecraft.

Ronald D. Sugar

Dr. Austin has held an adjunct Research Professor appointment at the [University of Southern California](/org/university-of-southern-california)’s Viterbi School’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering since 2007. She has been Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of MarkingSpace, Inc., a leadership and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) consulting firm, since December 2017. She served as Interim President of the [University of Southern California](/org/university-of-southern-california) from August 2018 until July 2019. She served as President and Chief Executive Officer of [The Aerospace Corporation](/org/the-aerospace-corporation), a leading architect for the United States' national security space programs, from 2008 until her retirement in 2016. From 2004 to 2007, she was Senior Vice President, National Systems Group, at Aerospace. Dr. Austin joined Aerospace in 1979.
