Andrew Claeys

Andrew Claeys is a Lead Process Engineer at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, where responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert on cooling towers, boilers, water treatment, and steam systems, as well as providing design recommendations for chemical feed systems and water treatment equipment. With experience in troubleshooting, construction support, and project management, Andrew has overseen various initiatives, including the commissioning of a water treatment facility and the conversion of chlorine gas to sodium hypochlorite across cooling towers. Prior roles included GRAD Utilities Engineer and GRAD Project Engineer, where project execution and mentorship of interns were key responsibilities. Andrew began professional experience as a Mechanical/Design Engineering Intern at Chevron and a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Cessna Aircraft Company. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University.
