Mitchell Blackburn

Mitchell Blackburn currently serves as the Operational Excellence Coordinator for Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, starting in January 2024. Prior to this role, Mitchell held various engineering positions at ExxonMobil from July 2018 to January 2024, including Gas Phase Polyethylene Improvement Engineer, Gas Phase Polyethylene Manufacturing Engineer, Offsite and Utilities Contact Engineer, and Project Engineer within the Major Projects department. Earlier experience includes a Process Design Co-op at ExxonMobil and a Special Projects Internship at BASF, where support was provided for a significant expansion project in the herbicide production unit. Additionally, Mitchell completed a Co-op at The Lubrizol Corporation, focusing on safety improvements in chemical handling. Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University in 2018.
