Jan Carroll

Jan Carroll MSc, MEd, is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in education, consultancy, and management. As the Founder and Managing Director of Fortify Institute since February 2022 and the AwakenHub County Ambassador for Meath since January 2024, Jan has demonstrated leadership in promoting cybersecurity awareness and education. Current roles also include Programme Leader for a Postgraduate Diploma in Cybersecurity at Chevron College, Senior Lecturer at UCD Professional Academy, and ICTTF Ambassador, actively supporting training initiatives. Jan has contributed to the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity as a member of the ad hoc Working Group on Cybersecurity Market since November 2021. With a robust educational background, including ongoing doctoral studies at the University of Limerick, Jan possesses multiple advanced degrees in cybersecurity, adult education, and digital marketing, highlighting a strong commitment to continuous professional development in the field.
