Jessica Horner, CPA has a diverse range of work experience. Jessica is currently working as a VP, Financial Planner at Chevy Chase Trust since January 2023. Before that, they worked as a Fiscal Specialist II at Howard County Government from November 2015 to February 2023. Prior to that, they were a CPA at Schneider & Associates LLC from December 2013 to October 2015. Jessica also worked as a Tax Associate at BDO USA, LLP from November 2012 to December 2013, where they prepared various tax returns and estimates. Jessica also had a brief role as a Tax Staff Accountant at Argy, Wiltse & Robinson, P.C. in September 2012. Jessica obtained a second bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Maryland University College from June 2010 to May 2012. Additionally, they gained experience as a Tax Preparation Intern (part-time) at Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, PC from February 2012 to April 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Administrative Officer in the Office of General Counsel at the Smithsonian Institution from July 2008 to May 2010 and in the Office of Sponsored Projects from April 2004 to July 2008. Jessica also worked as a Contractor at the National Museum of Natural History from May 2005 to November 2005, where they assisted with digitization projects. Before starting their career in accounting, they worked as a Guest Service Agent at Omni Hotels in Charlottesville, VA, from June 2003 to January 2004, where they managed the front desk and provided excellent customer service.

Jessica Horner, CPA, has a diverse and well-rounded education history. Jessica began their higher education at the University of Virginia, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art History and Spanish in 2003. During their time at the University of Virginia, Jessica also studied Art History at the Universidad de Sevilla in 2002 to further enhance their knowledge in this field.

In 2005, Jessica attended Northern Virginia Community College and focused on studying Accounting, although they did not complete a specific degree program at this institution.

Continuing their educational pursuits, Jessica pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Arts Management at George Mason University from 2006 to 2008. This degree allowed their to gain expertise in managing and implementing arts-related projects and programs.

To further solidify their skills in the field of Accounting, Jessica attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting.

Additionally, Jessica broadened their horizons by studying Chinese at the Beijing Institute of Education in 2000. While they did not obtain a degree in Chinese, this experience demonstrates their commitment to expanding their knowledge and understanding of different cultures.
