Kaylan Scott

Associate Director, Outdoor Classroom at CHEWONKI FOUNDATION INC

Kaylan Scott is the Associate Director of the Outdoor Classroom at the Chewonki Foundation Inc. Kaylan has previous experience as an instructor and ropes crew member with NOLS, The Outdoor School, and Pali Institute. Kaylan also has experience as a transcriptionist and housekeeper/server/dishwasher/custodian/groundskeeper. In their current position, they are responsible for facilitating challenge courses and lead processing, as well as teaching a variety of ecology classes to school groups.

Kaylan Scott's educational career includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emerson College, a New Zealand Semester from NOLS, and Outdoor Leadership Training from Appalachian Mountain Club. Kaylan is also certified in Wilderness First Responder from NOLS Wilderness Medicine and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate from the American Red Cross.

They work with Jen Adams - Director, Outdoor Programs, Bree George - Associate Director, Girls Camp, and Leslie Hunter - Associate Director, Admissions for Camp Chewonki. Kaylan Scott reports to Nancy Kennedy, SVP, Organizational Development & Camp.
