Jimmy Chung has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jimmy began their career in 2015 as a Power and Photovoltaics Engineer and Educator at Queen's Solar Design Team. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Business Innovation & Web Development Intern at Mount Sinai Hospital. In 2017, they became the Treasurer at Queen's Student Investors Group and later served as a Frontend Developer for Queen's Genetically Engineered Machine. In 2018, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at Canada Create and then as an Analyst, Industrials at Queen's Student Investors Group. Jimmy co-founded RideUP in 2019, where they served as a Co-Founder, Software Engineer, User Experience Designer, and Machine Learning Engineer. During their time at RideUP, they also graduated from Y Combinator 2019 Startup School. In 2021, they joined Verizon as a Software Engineer, where they worked on various projects including blockchain applications, managing production workloads, Dockerizing backend services, and implementing ETL pipelines. Currently, they are working at Chexy as a Senior Full Stack Engineer starting from 2022.

Jimmy Chung earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (Innovation Stream) from Queen's University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020, the Social Media Marketing Certification from HubSpot Academy in October 2020, the Video Advertising on Twitter certification from Twitter in November 2019, the Google Ads Search Certification from Google in September 2019, and the Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google in August 2019.
