Joel James

Joel James has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare industry. Joel started their career at Fields and Company, where they served as the Vice President and successfully developed new territories and created export business. Joel then went on to establish their own consulting firm, 2Jays Consulting, where they provided project management services to general contractors. In 2001, they joined Covenant Health System as the Director of Mission Integration, where they facilitated education and engagement programs. Joel then transitioned to Mercy, where they held multiple positions, including Vice President of Support Services, Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of Mission. During their tenure at Mercy, they played a crucial role in the recovery efforts after a devastating tornado in Joplin. Most recently, they worked as the Senior Vice President of Mission Integration for CHI Health in the Texas Division.

Joel James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Communications from Abilene Christian University (1980-1985). Joel then pursued a Master's degree in Health Care Mission at Aquinas Institute of Theology (2009-2012). Later, they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Healthcare from Texas Tech University (2003-2005). Most recently, they earned a Certificate in Bioethics/Medical Ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center (2017-2018).
