Ahmed D.

Ahmed D. is currently an Entrepreneurial Fellow at the Chicago Biomedical Consortium since April 2023 and has been a Registered Pharmacist at the Egyptian Ministry of Health, Syndicate of Pharmacists since June 2016. With a strong academic background, Ahmed completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Neurobiology from the University of Illinois Chicago in March 2023, where contributions to research under the supervision of Dr. Orly Lazrov included evidence for adult hippocampal neurogenesis in both healthy aging individuals and Alzheimer’s disease patients. During tenure at the university, multiple roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant involved teaching biochemistry, microbiology, and biology courses. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, from January 2015 to July 2016. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Al-Azhar University, obtained in 2016.
