Sonal V. Rangnekar, PhD, currently serves as an Entrepreneurial Fellow at the Chicago Biomedical Consortium, where responsibilities include formulating investment theses for early-stage therapeutic technologies and co-producing the inaugural Chicago BioCapital Summit. Prior experience at Northwestern University as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Hersam Research Group involved the development of advanced printed electronic devices and collaboration across research groups, leading to publications and invention disclosures. Additional roles include a VC Fellow at Fusion Fund, Engineering Lead for a medical device startup at IVSee Inc., and various internships focusing on nanofabrication and operational excellence. Sonal holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
