Jamar Williams

Jamar Williams is currently the Director of Development at the Chicago Blackhawks. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Vice President of Development for Education Pioneers from January 2018 to August 2021. In this role, Jamar provided overall leadership for the development team around fundraising strategy, engagement, and operations. Jamar also managed a 200+ donor portfolio spanning seven major cities: Boston, Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Memphis, OKC, Tulsa and D.C.

Jamar has a proven track record of success in fundraising and marketing. Jamar previously served as the Development Director at City Year from July 2016 to December 2017. During their time there, they developed compelling collateral to communicate the organization's mission and impact to various stakeholders. Jamar also ensured that Development team members were achieving excellence by leveraging individual strengths, collaborating effectively and growing professionally through mentoring and well-executed professional development plans. In their role as an Independent Marketing and Public Relations Consultant from January 2014 to June 2016, Jamar excelled in developing and cultivating future funder pipelines.

Jamar Williams has a Master’s Degree in Business Education from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Earl G. Graves School of Business) from Morgan State University.

Their manager is Sara Guderyahn, Executive Director, Foundation & Vice President, Community. They are on a team with Ashley Hinton - Director, Community Outreach, Annie Davis-Korelc - Director, Community Partnerships & Investments.
