Mary Roback

Mary Roback is an experienced professional with a diverse background in finance, library science, and volunteer work. Currently serving as a Schaffner Library Intern at Northwestern University since 2013, Mary also contributes as an intern and volunteer at the Lendhart Library of the Chicago Botanic Garden. Previous roles include volunteering at the Alberto Culver Health Learning Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and holding various managerial and director positions at Rio Tinto from 1999 to 2012, covering areas such as process design, service delivery, finance, and financial reporting. Prior to that, Mary was a director of financial reporting and accounting at ITT Sheraton and held significant financial roles at Norton Company and Ernst & Young. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MBA in Finance from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in French from Washington University in St. Louis.
