Joshua Austin

Dr. Joshua Bernard Austin is the Student Recruitment Specialist for Chicago International Charter School. He is a native of the Westside of Chicago and is no stranger to academia. The son of a Pastor and educator, he was raised in a home where study and diligence to the task was mandatory. Dr. Austin attended both public and charter CPS schools where his experience connects directly with families in need for a non-restrictive curriculum, a nurturing environment and restorative approach to the classroom.

Dr. Austin, brings a wealth of experience having worked in a number of fields, from Health & Wellness, Finance, Construction, Ministry and his passion for education since 2005. He has served as a teacher, counselor, dean, recruiter and even academic coordinator. Dr. Austin attended Tuskegee University, Chicago State University, Liberty University and FAM Institute Bible College & Seminary, having earned a Bachelors Degree, two Master's degrees and a Ph.D.
