Heather Styka

Heather Styka is an experienced educator and performing artist with a robust background in teaching and the arts. Currently, Heather Styka serves as a High School English Teacher at Chicago Collegiate Charter School since August 2021 and has been a Substitute Teacher for Chicago Public Schools since January 2018. Additionally, Heather Styka has maintained a freelance writing career since April 2010 and has experience as a teaching artist at the Auditorium Theatre in Summer 2020. A skilled sound engineer, Heather Styka worked at Uncommon Ground from October 2009 to April 2013. Heather Styka holds a Master of Education from DePaul University-College of Education, earned in June 2021, and a BA in English with a focus in Creative Writing from DePaul University, completed in 2010.
