Steven Sparks

Steven Sparks is currently the Chair at CHICAGO COMMONS ASSOCIATION. Steven has previously worked as the Director of Education and Professional Developement at Urban Gateways: Center for Arts in Education from November 1995 to May 1997. There, they were responsible for developing and implementing training for incoming residency artists, preparing them to conduct workshops integrating art into standard classroom curriculum. Steven also supervised and evaluated all residency artists, developed content and conducted 6 professional development 2-day seminars in current learning theory and arts integrated curriculum, and developed and managed four in-service showcase festivals.

Steven Sparks has a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
