The current leadership team for the Chicago Cubs has a long history in the MLB. The EVP/GM of the team used to work for the San Diego Padres and the SVP/Asst GM used to work for the Boston Red Sox. They both have degrees from Wesleyan University, with the EVP/GM having a degree in History.
