Julie Wroblewski

Julie Wroblewski has extensive work experience in the archival field. Julie most recently worked at the Chicago History Museum, where they held various roles including Head of Collections, Senior Archivist, and Archivist in the Archives & Manuscripts department. Julie'sresponsibilities included applying collection development strategies, assessing potential acquisitions, identifying processing priorities, and contributing to fundraising efforts. Prior to that, Julie worked at Benedictine University as an Archivist/Special Collections Librarian. During their time there, they managed the acquisition, description, arrangement, and preservation of archival materials, implemented a backlog reduction plan, and developed a strategic plan for the institutional archives. Julie also worked as a Project Archivist at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and as a Lake Forest Sesquicentennial Legacy Project Archivist/Researcher at the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society. Julie gained experience as an Archives Intern at the Chicago History Museum and the Women and Leadership Archives. Before transitioning to the archival field, they held positions as a Senior Technical Writer at Spot Trading LLC, a Writing Team Division Lead at Epic Systems, and a Writer/Editor at EDS, an HP Company.

Julie Wroblewski's education history begins in 1993 when they enrolled at Lawrence University. Julie completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at Lawrence University in 1997, where they pursued a double major in English and Psychology.

Following their undergraduate studies, Julie pursued further education and enrolled at Dominican University in 2009. Julie completed their Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree in Library and Information Science in 2011.

Subsequently, Julie continued their educational journey at Loyola University Chicago in 2014. Julie obtained their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Digital Humanities in 2017.

In addition to their academic degrees, Julie Wroblewski has also obtained certifications in the field of archival work. Julie is a Certified Archivist through the Academy of Certified Archivists and holds the Digital Archives Specialist certification from the Society of American Archivists.
