Maya Solis

Region Director, South at Chicago Park District

Maya Solis is currently the Region Director, South at Chicago Park District. Prior to that, they were the Regional Field Director for Hillary Clinton's Presidential campaign from September 2007 to May 2008. Maya was responsible for implementing and executing a victorious statewide field plan while making region-specific changes to maximize turnout for each state. Maya also conducted daily field operations for regional offices and managed the day-to-day operations of field organizers and hundreds of volunteers at various satellite offices. In addition, they planned principal and surrogate visits, including identifying event sites and managing crowd control. Maya also worked with Latino elected officials, community leaders and surrogates to coordinate events and turn out the Latino vote.

From January 2004 to December 2007, Solis was the Coordinator of Special Events at the Illinois Housing Development Authority. In that role, they served as a Community Outreach Liaison and coordinated special events. From January 1997 to December 2002, they were the Assistant to the Commissioner at the City of Chicago.

Maya Solis is a candidate for a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois Chicago. Maya holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communication from DePaul University and a Spanish Minor from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Maya also has a High School Diploma from Whitney Young Magnet High School.

Maya Solis works with Heather Gleason - Director, Planning & Construction, Kenneth Tassone - Director, Performance Management, and Kelly Sheetz - Director, New Business Development. Their manager is Rosa Escareño, Interim General Superintendent & CEO.
