Chris Papaioannou serves as the Deputy Chief in the Bureau of Counter Terrorism at the Chicago Police Department since March 2024. With a career at the Chicago Police Department spanning over two decades, Chris has held various leadership roles including Deputy Chief and Commander, overseeing operations within the 019th District. Previous positions include Lieutenant, where responsibilities involved training and operational oversight, and Sergeant, focusing on gang violence prevention and tactical response. Chris has also served as a Police Officer, engaging in intelligence gathering and tactical missions against gun violence. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Public Safety Administration from Calumet College of St. Joseph and completion of the FBI National Academy.
