Natalia Maltsev is a Research Professor at the University of Chicago since 2003, focusing on the study of complex multigene diseases with an emphasis on mental disorders. In addition, Natalia serves as a Senior Fellow at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute and has held fellow and senior fellow positions at the Institute of Genomics and Systems Biology and Argonne National Laboratory, respectively. At Argonne National Laboratory, Natalia led the development of grid-based integrated systems for genomic and metabolic network analysis. Educationally, Natalia holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychotherapy from the Institute for Clinical Social Work and multiple medical degrees, including an MD, PhD in pediatrics and internal medicine from Moscow State Medical University, and an MD, PhD in immunology and microbiology from The Russian State Medical University.
