Chris Othic

Chris Othic is a dedicated librarian currently serving as Children's Librarian at the Edgewater Branch of the Chicago Public Library since June 2023. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a Cybernavigator at the Chicago Public Library Foundation from February 2023 to August 2023, aiding patrons in navigating technology and enhancing digital literacy. Chris has extensive experience in the legal field, having held positions as Practice Group Director and Practice Group Manager at Faegre Drinker and Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, focusing on Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation and Health Care Practice Groups. Academically, Chris holds a Master of Library & Information Science with a concentration in Children and Youth Library Services from Dominican University, alongside a Master of Arts in Theatre and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Central Missouri.
