Marcus A. Berry

Marcus A. Berry, MLIS, has over 26 years of experience in the library field, currently serving as Librarian IV - Branch Manager at Chicago Public Library. With a background in adult and teen services, Marcus has demonstrated expertise in program planning and providing reference services to diverse communities. Previous roles include graphic artist and graphic designer, contributing significant design work for various organizations, including the Chicago Defender and National Black MBA Association. Marcus holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Bachelor’s in Digital Art & Design from DePaul University and an Associate's in Graphic Design & Multimedia from Westwood College-River Oaks. Attendance at the Spectrum Leadership Institute further highlights a commitment to professional development within the library community.
