Matthias Jamison-Koenig

Matthias Jamison-Koenig has extensive experience in education and research, currently serving as a STEM Teacher at Chicago Public Schools since July 2012, where a rigorous, lab-based physics curriculum is designed and implemented with a strong focus on scientific thinking and data analysis. Past roles include a Summer Intern at Fermilab, assisting Dr. Eric Prebys in proton beam extinction measurements, and working as an academic tutor for Varsity Tutors LLC, designing tailored curriculum for students. Additionally, Matthias held a Science Education Intern position at the Museum of Science and Industry, contributing to educational program development, and served as an On-Call Technician at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, focusing on research related to the Higgs Discovery Group. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of Chicago, a Secondary Teaching Certificate from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Teaching and Learning at the University of St. Francis.
